The Erdstall beneath the Schießl-Hof (and a mysterious hole)

Here, you are standing almost directly over the Erdstall. Access is via the cellar. At the media station with VR headsets to your right, you can go on a digital exploration tour of the Erdstall.

At your feet, you see a small round hole in the ground. This is a drilling hole, coming up from the Erdstall. Drilling holes occasionally occur in Bavarian Erdställe, but their purpose is unknown. Usually, their diameter is between 8 and 15 cm. In most cases, they taper off and end before they reach the surface.
